As offers of aid continue to pour into hurricane ravaged areas of Texas, the Anheuser-Busch company is putting its money where its corporate mouth is.
More precisely, the maker of Budweiser, Bud Lite, and other labels is putting clean drinking water where it normally puts its beer: on its production lines.
Brewmaster Sarah Schilling told Fox 5 Atlanta in a statement that Anheuser-Busch's Cartersville, Georgia, plant halted beer production this week to instead can water:
“Throughout the year, we periodically pause beer production at our Cartersville, Georgia brewery to produce emergency canned drinking water so we are ready to help out communities across the country in times of crisis.
Putting our production and logistics strengths to work by providing safe, clean drinking water is the best way we can help in these situations.”
