Former Franklin Mineral Museum manager charged with theft of $75,000 from museum

Franklin Borough police detectives have charged a former employee of the Franklin Mineral Museum with stealing from the museum for four years.
Doreen M. Longo, 63, a former Franklin Mineral Museum manager who is charged with stealing money and miscellaneous electronics and other resalable items, turned herself in to the Franklin Borough Police Department on Monday, according to borough Police Detective Nevin Mattessich.
Longo, 63, a former Wantage resident who now lives in Longs, S.C., was charged with theft on Monday afternoon at the Franklin Borough Police Department, Mattessich said. She turned herself in accompanied by her attorney.
