Suspect In New York City Terror Attack IDed As Uzbek National

The suspect in the deadly terrorist attack in New York City is being identified as a 29-year-old Sayfullo Saipov. He is an Uzbek national and reportedly came to the U.S. in 2010 and is believed to be a lawful permanent resident with a green card.  It's believed he has ties to addresses in Tampa, Florida, Ohio and New Jersey.

The Daily Mail reports that Saipov was a commercial truck driver and had two businesses registered in Ohio. Both businesses were related to the automotive industry, and one of them was listed as an "active carrier registered with the U.S. Department of Transportation."

Saipov was shot by police after he ran over people with a truck in Lower Manhattan.  At least eight people were killed and a dozen hurt.  Authorities are calling this an act of terrorism, but they don't believe it's part of a wider plot. WNBC is citing law enforcement sources that say a note found in the truck said the he carried out the attack for ISIS.
