The boss of a bus company left over 300 kids stranded after he quit and fired his entire staff. Sydney Hardy sent the unexpected and profanity-laced memo to his staff last weekend. According to the New York Post, Hardy had enough after 13 years as the managing director of Nippy Bus Company.
The 57-year-old told his employees they should “consider themselves dismissed /redundant.” He told them "the gates are now closed and will not open so you [staff] can stay in your scratchers Monday and have a lie in.”
Local schools and bus companies struggled to pick up the slack by the sudden closing Nippy Bus Company. They were able to make temporary arrangements for students by the end of the day on Monday, but are still working on a more permanent solution.
