Friars Club Cancels Gene Simmons Roast, Citing "Recent Developments"

The Gene Simmons roast scheduled for March 2018 has been canceled by the Friars Club, which cited "recent developments."

Simmons was recently sued for sexual battery by a radio host for his alleged conduct during and after a November interview at Simmons' new restaurant in San Bernadino, California.

Beyond that, multiple women have come forward accusing Simmons of harassing behavior. The KISS bassist and co-founder was also banned for life from Fox News for inappropriate conduct at the network offices.

The New York Daily News notes that the Friars Club chose Simmons as the guest of honor for its March roast after canceling on disgraced film executive Harvey Weinstein
