Naked Swimming Event Says It's Family Friendly, Invites Children To Attend

A nudist group in Canada has sparked outrage after renting out a public pool for a naked swimming event and inviting children to attend. The group Calgary Nude Recreation, says the event is "family oriented and kid friendly and open to people of all ages, body types, all genders, sexual orientations, and anyone else in between."

According to CBA, the Southland Leisure Centre is available to rented out by any group. Jarret Hoebers says they treat all groups the same, "whether it be special-interest [groups], sport, recreation, leisure; it doesn't matter what it is."

That isn't sitting well with some, who feel that it is inappropriate to host an event where children could potentially be exposed to sexual predators. One resident, April Parker, created a Change.org petition, to convince the organizers to make the event adults only.

Parker is concerned that "sexual predators will be on the prowl" and there is an "extremely high chance of photos and videos being taken without consent." While she hopes the event will be canceled, she would be happy if they changed it only let people who are over 18 attend.
