At Least 43 People Missing In California Mudslides

Dozens of people are still unaccounted for after deadly mudslides in Southern California.  Santa Barbara County Sheriff Bill Brown said 43 are missing as search and rescue operations continue around the clock. He also read the list of names of all 17 people who died in Montectio at yesterday evening's news conference.  Brown called the deaths tragic and said the victims range in age from 3 to 89 years old. The sheriff announced the mandatory evacuation area is being expanded to allow crews to clear roadways.

He added that the Army Corps of Engineers is bringing in heavy equipment to assist the difficult operation.
