For about a year or so, many fans of the media mogul have expressed how much they would love her to become the next Commander-In-Chief. Then, Winfrey gave the most powerful speech of the night at the 2018 Golden Globes, as she became the first black woman to accept the Cecil B. Demille award. During this monologue, the entertainment titan called out men who use their statuses to sexually assault and harass women in and out of the workplace.
After this speech, which quickly went viral, millions across the country begged Winfrey even more to run for office. Someone even offered her help if she wanted to begin a political campaign. But, Winfrey declined.
While speaking to the women's publication, the leader in her own right stated she has no desire to become president. “I’ve always felt very secure and confident with myself in knowing what I could do and what I could not. And so it’s not something that interests me. I don’t have the DNA for it. ... That’s not for me,” she said.
And there you have it, folks. Case closed.
