Free Seminar about Animal Care Careers this Month

A free seminar about animal care careers will be offered to teens and adults on Wednesday, March 28th, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Project Self-Sufficiency. Dr. Linda Krotje Wall, veterinarian at the Tranquility Animal Clinic, will be joined by Father John’s Animal House Shelter Operations Manager Garrett Barcheski and Dr. Jesslyn Bryk-Lucy, Assistant Professor of Equine Studies at Centenary University, for a discussion of the background, education and the skills necessary for success. Questions from the audience will be welcome. “Becoming You: Animal Care Careers” will explore vocations such as veterinarian, veterinary technician, horse trainer, stable owner, canine behavior specialist, animal shelter manager, and other professions. The seminar is free and open to teens and adults, but registration is required. Interested participants are encouraged to call 973-940-3500 or 844-807-3500 to register.
