Trump Slams Amazon For Putting Retailers Out Of Business

President Trump continued his attacks against Amazon in a tweet Thursday morning. Trump said the online retailer pays "little or no taxes to state & local governments," and is responsible for "putting many thousands of retailers out of business!"

I have stated my concerns with Amazon long before the Election. Unlike others, they pay little or no taxes to state & local governments, use our Postal System as their Delivery Boy (causing tremendous loss to the U.S.), and are putting many thousands of retailers out of business!

The tweet comes the day after a report that the president is trying to find ways to go after Amazon using antitrust laws. The report caused Amazon's stock to drop by 4.4% on Wednesday (March 28). The stock continued to slide, losing another 2.1% in early trading on Thursday.
