Syrian state media reported that there was an airstrike near the T4 airbase in the city of Homs. Several people are reported to be dead and wounded. The Pentagon denied having any involvement in the strikes.
The missile strikes come one day after dozens of people were killed in what many countries believe was a chemical weapons attack carried out by the Assad regime. The last time the Assad regime was alleged to have used a chemical weapon, President Trump swiftly retaliated with a cruise missile attack on a military base.
Both Assad and Russia have denied their involvement in the chemical attack and called the reports "fake news."
