An egg a day might actually lower your risk of heart disease

Good news today for egg eaters, as a new Chinese research study suggests that consuming one egg a day just might help lower your risk of developing heart disease.

The study found that people who consume 0.76 eggs per day were 11 percent likely to develop cardiovascular disease and 18 percent less likely to die from it than people who don't eat eggs at all.

Eggs are major sources of high-quality proteins and other nutrients," one researcher said.

But eggs are not for everyone, certainly not diabetics.
