Nev Schulman Says He'd Love Cardi B To Serve As New 'Catfish' Co-Host

With Max Joseph leaving MTV's Catfish, Nev Schulman needs a new co-host and the TV staple said that he'd love to recruit Cardi B as his new partner in crime.

On Thursday (August 9), TMZ shared their interview with Nev, where he admitted that he'd love to have Bardi help him expose those sneaky liars on the Internet. "Max cannot be replaced, so as corny as it sounds, it's true, but the show must go on," he explained. "If somewhere down the line, we find the right person and it's a good fit and the fans like our chemistry, then perhaps a permanent co-host could be in order."

Asked if he had anyone in particular in mind, Nev admitted that the show would benefit a lot from a female perspective. "The first person that comes to mind lately I think for her humor and insight is Cardi B," Nev confessed with a slight smile. "Obviously, I know that she's a new mom, so she's a little busy, but we can certainly work around her schedule. There's so many great people. There's probably so many people that I don't even or haven't even thought who might love the show and want to come on now that they know there's an open invitation."

TMZ previously reported that Max is leaving the series to pursue a career in filmmaking. "For a while now I have been straddling two careers as TV host and filmmaker and, while this level of busy-ness is a dream come true, my life can no longer sustain it," he said. His final episode airs August 22 at 9 PM ET.
