NJ Grade-School Kids Get Recess: It's the law!

Starting immediately, grade-school kids in New Jersey (K-5) must get 20 minutes of recess each school day.

According to the New Jersey Herald, Governor Phil Murphy signed the measure today.  The legislation dates back to 2010, but was "pocket-vetoed" by Governor Christie in 2016.

Today's measure also calls for holding recess outside if feasible.

The Herald has the story.
