Why the NIKE argument is a waste of time !

Lets think about this :  I know people are linking Nikes decision to use Colin Kapernick as their "spokesman" to many unrelated issues...political and otherwise.

Lets face it.. it all boils down to money and advertising.
There's an old saying  "ANY PRESS IS GOOD PRESS"

that being said, Nike, Inc. - (from Wikipedia) is an American multinational corporation that is engaged in the design, development, manufacturing, and worldwide marketing and sales of footwear, apparel, equipment, accessories, and services. The company is headquartered near Beaverton, Oregon, in the Portland metropolitan area. It is the world's largest supplier of athletic shoes and apparel and a major manufacturer of sports equipment, with revenue in excess of US$24.1 billion in its fiscal year 2012 (ending May 31, 2012). In 2014 the brand alone was valued at $19 billion, making it the most valuable brand among sports businesses. As of 2017, the Nike brand is valued at $29.6 billion.

Nike is a WORLDWIDE brand.
If you think that losing a small percent of their American business is going to hurt them, you should probably do a little more research as to just how much money they make globally..again , as of last year the Nike brand is valued at $29.6 billion.

Other countries don't care at all what's going on in the US. . Burning their gear and boycotting their brand won't prove anything to Nike. They'll be just fine.

If you ARE going to boycott Nike by throwing your already spent money away, be smart and donate your gear to the homeless or veterans group instead of burning it or throwing it in the trash.
