Labor Day, last Monday, was the final day of operation for the Chatterbox restaurant, a Sussex County mainstay for the past 15 years. Don Hall and his staff served great food with great service. For years, Thursday night was bike night. Saturday night was devoted to a classic car show, which really was a perfect complement to the restaurant's 50s-60s vibe. A rotating platter in the middle of the dining area featured a rotating series of vintage vehicles. To so may, the Chatterbox was more than just a burger joint.
A new WaWa will reportedly be replacing the Chatterbox, even as a brand-new QuickChek just opened across the street.
