The newest stamps in the United States Postal Service's Music Icons series feature a photograph of the great John Lennon. The stamps were just released today and are available at local post offices. I bought mine at the Franklin P.O. The clerk there said she had sold several sheets as of Friday afternoon.
The photo of the former Beatle, snapped by Bob Gruen, was taken for the album "Walls and Bridges," which was released in 1974. The entire sheet resembles an old 45 single sleeve. Very cool.
