The genesis of the new Queen biopic, "Bohemian Rhapsody," dates back to 2008 when Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor, along with screenwriter Peter Morgan and the actor Sacha Baron Cohen began talking about a film about the life of singer Freddie Mercury. At the outset, Cohen was even slated to portray Mercury.
It's taken ten years for the film to finally hit the big screen. "Bohemian Rhapsody" will open on November 2nd. (The soundtrack was released last Friday.) The pre-production, filming, and post-production of this film has been a roller-coaster ride for all involved. Writer Alice Vincent lays out the timeline today in the Telegraph, which you can read right here.
