Kimberly Santleben-Stiteler wanted her marriage to end with a bang.
So she gathered a group of her friends at her father's farm in the small town of Lacoste, Texas, about 25 miles west of San Antonio, for a divorce party. She then packed her wedding dress with 20 pounds of the explosive called Tannerite and placed it out in the field. From 200 yards away, she aimed her scoped rifle directly at the dress and pulled the trigger.
Boom. Her marriage of 14 years had officially bitten the dust. Her friends cheered.
The blast was felt as far as 15 miles away. Texts and Facebook messages began pouring in. "Is everything okay over there?"
Everything was just fine.
