Recreational Marijuana On Sale Today in Massachusetts

Two Massachusetts marijuana dispensaries began selling recreational pot this morning, the first two on the East Coast.

"Cultivate" in Leicester and "New England Treatment Access (NETA)" in Northampton are the first two shops authorized to sell marijuana for recreational use.  Both stores have been running as medical dispensaries.  The first sale in Northampton was made by the mayor, David Narkewicz.   According to Boston.com, Cultivate saw more than 500 customers in just its first two hours of sales.

Recreational marijuana sales in Massachusetts signal a cultural revolution for the East Coast.  Buyers must be at least 21 years of age.
