Here's What We Can Expect From Kanye West in 2019

Kanye West is back with another Twitter rant, but this time - he's here to spread peace and love. Ye, Yeezy, Kanye - whatever you choose to refer to the iconic rapper as, says he is drug-free and feeling stronger than ever as he prepares for the New year.

In a series of tweets, the Blood on the Leaves rapper reflected on his past year, writing "I got to be myself and nobody had to 'let me.'" He continued, "I'm drug free and my spirit is connected. No weapon formed against us shall prosper."

When he says weapon, are we talking Champagne Papi, Drake, and his Instagram habits? Over the weekend West was livid to discover that the Hotline Bling singer was a follower of wife, Kim Kardashian-West's Instagram (to be fair, aren't most of us?).

"I never knew till this morning that Drake followed my wife on Instagram back in September," Ye wrote in the first of many since-deleted tweets obtained via screenshots, adding, "I had to bring this up because it’s the most f***ed up thing of all and I just saw it this morning."

"Imagine having a problem with somebody and they follow your wife on Instagram," West went on before closing his rant on a surprisingly civil note on behalf of he and his wife. "We truly wish this man the best and pray that he will find the same happiness that we have. … Love everyone."

(In an update: Ye can sleep peacefully now as Drake has since unfollowed Kim on the platform.)

If you'll recall, 2018 gave us constant fresh episodes of Love & Rappers. Okay, that's not a real show, but my goodness I could feel the glasses of champagne being thrown at each other through Twitter. Wheew Child. At one point, Drizzy and Ye were actually great friends as noted by Drake who claims to have helped Kanye write on albums, Ye and The Life of Pablo

Things took a wild turn when Pusha-T, who is on Kanye's label, released the diss track, The Story of Adidon, airing ALL of Drakes Dirty Laundry including exposing his secret child. Drake claims that he told Kanye about his son while they were writing music together and that is the only way that Pusha-T could have known.

We then watched as more beef stirred up after Drizzy did not bother to squash rumors about that his track 'In My Feelings' is about Kim Kardashian, due to lyrics such as "Kiki, do you love me? Are you ridin'?" The issues prompted Kanye to post a series of Instagram videos addressing the rumors and gossip.

Fast forward to today and Kanye is ready to have more positive vibes surrounding him in the New Year. The rapper has been very open about his battle with mental illness and says that his openness is really helping him to deal.

"So I think it's important for us to have... open conversations about mental health. Especially with me being black, because we never had therapists in the black community. We never approached taking medication," he said, commenting that his infamous appearance on TMZ in May showcased his "ramped up state." "And that's when you get these comments that just shoot out. Almost like Tourette's."

"There are some cases of bipolar where people go low, I'm one that goes high. Like Michelle Obama said, 'Go high,'" West added. "[I don't have extreme periods of depression] because I just say it. I'll say it on real TV. Like, 'Oh, I thought about killing myself.' And then the thought is gone."

"[People] need to be able to express themselves without fear of judgement," he stated. "What I love telling people is, like... I don't know anyone who f*cked up as much as I have, but is still as successful."

Wishing you luck in the New Year, Kanye!
