Bethel Woods Plans 50th Anniversary Woodstock Celebration

Bethel Woods Center for the Arts has made it official.  They will mount a special event called "Bethel Woods Music and Culture Festival:  Celebrating the golden anniversary at the historic site of the 1969 Woodstock Festival."  Dates are set for August 16-18th.  The event will feature musical performances from artists that span generations and what organizers are called "TED-style talks" after the popular Ted Talks series.

Specific artists, speakers and ticket information has not yet been announced but will be soon, according to the release issued by Bethel Woods.

There will also be a special exhibit at the Museum of Bethel Woods, and the Sullivan County Visitors Association has unveiled an exhibit of 36 fiberglass doves called a "Dove Trail" that will be displayed in communities across the county.

The Times Herald Record has the full story.
