The Music of Cream 50th Anniversary Tour plays The Newton Theatre Friday (March 22) at 8pm.
British rock power trio Cream came onto the scene in 1966, leaving a blueprint for every supergroup to follow, and the blues precursor to Hendrix, Zeppelin and more. Now, Kofi Baker (Ginger Baker's son), Malcolm Bruce (Jack Bruce's son) and Will Johns (Eric Clapton's nephew) pay homage to Cream's legendary four-album reign over the psychedelic rock landscape of the late 1960's, celebrating 50 years.
