Project Help Plans Free Camping Trips for Vets

Project Help, based in Sussex NJ, is sponsoring free camping trips for military veterans this summer.

"The plan is simple and straight forward," says Sandy Mitchell, executive director of Project Help. "There will be three weekends dedicated to the Vet camp. July is for the women, August for families and September is for men. The only thing the vets will have to supply, aside from their personal items, is their ride to and from the Oakland Valley campground. Food and activities are all free."

The Oakland Valley campground is in Cuddebackville, New York. Activities will include swimming, tubing and fishing. There is a pool as well for vets who prefer that over the river. Educational and therapeutic activities are planned as well. There will also be private "vets only" times.

Veterans from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania are welcome. You can learn more about the free camping weekends right here.
