Beware the "one-ring" scam

Have you been a victim of the "one-ring" scam? Your phone rings, usually in the dead of night, but it just rings once.

And then, you return the call. But you're calling Serbia, or Slovenia, or Estonia, or ... someplace either you've never heard of or never been to.

That's the mistake you don't want to make. Because when you receive your phone bill, you see the charge for the international call, and you know you've been scammed.

And it might not be just one singular call. Americans are reporting that this scheme can go on all night.
