Under Investigation - Dump Truck Kills Toddler Monday in Stanhope.

STANHOPE, NJ — A two-year-old child has died after being hit by a dump truck, Stanhope Police Chief Steve Pittigher said.

The 2 year old boy, who lived in Stanhope, was struck on Route 206 near Acorn Drive in Stanhope, Pittigher said. His identity was not released.

The driver of the dump truck was not detailed, and the cause of the crash was still under investigation as police inspect the truck and go over statements, Pittigher said. No other cars were involved.
