Gov. Phil Murphy and Lt. Gov. Sheila Oliver say that the first "presumptive positive" case of novel coronavirus or COVID-19 has been detected in New Jersey, but still has to be confirmed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

News 12 has learned the patient at Hackensack University Medical Center with the suspected case of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) has tested positive for the virus, according to a spokesperson for the hospital.
