A GoFundMe page has been established to support the family of six-year-old Lucy Morgan from Rockaway Township, who tragically died in a badminton accident while on vacation in Maine. The accident occurred when the aluminum shaft of the badminton racket broke off from its wooden handle and struck Lucy in the head. Despite immediate medical attention and being flown to Maine Medical Center in Portland, Lucy succumbed to her injuries four days later.

The fundraiser, set up to assist the grieving family, has already amassed over $125,000 in donations. Lucy's father, Jesse Morgan, a pastor at the Green Pond Bible Chapel in Rockaway Township, has been sharing updates about the incident and his daughter's condition on his website, newcreationliving.com.

"Lucy passed and is in the arms of Jesus," Jesse Morgan wrote in his blog. The family has received an outpouring of support from both locals and out-of-staters, with over 1,400 donations made to the GoFundMe page by Monday afternoon.

Lucy's memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on June 15 at the Green Pond Bible Chapel and will also be available for social media users to watch at greenpondbible.org/livestream.
