Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson Township has been recognized as one of the top 20 amusement parks in the United States by U.S. News & World Report. This popular park, located about 25 miles east of Trenton, offers 66 rides, including thrilling coasters like Medusa, Nitro, and El Toro. New this year is The Flash: Vertical Velocity, the first super boomerang coaster in North America.
The park is celebrated for its affordability, especially when reservations are made in advance. Families can also enjoy a variety of lodging options nearby, ranging from family-oriented hotels with pools to campgrounds, making it an accessible destination for many. Six Flags Great Adventure stands alongside other renowned parks such as Disney World, Busch Gardens, Disneyland, and Universal Studios Hollywood on the list.
In addition to its rides, Six Flags Great Adventure offers a wide range of entertainment options, including dance festivals, star-spangled nights, and Summerbration celebrations. The park is open from late March through December, though it operates only on weekends during the spring, late fall, and winter months.
The park is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary, marking half a century of creating memorable experiences for visitors. As part of the celebration, Six Flags is offering special deals, such as a one-day ticket with dining and parking for as low as $74.
