What to do when your Facebook Account is Hacked

I got a text last night from WSUS Program Director Steve Allan who suspected that my Facebook account had been hacked.  Sure enough,  texts - and calls - and Facebook postings -- confirmed that someone somewhere had infiltrated my account and was using Messenger to scam for money.

It could happen to you, and if it does, there are steps to take to reconcile the situation.

CNET has a good piece about that here.

I'm not sure how it happened to me.   I get a lot of friend requests from listeners and crossword solvers. If they only have one or a handful of friends, I don't accept the invitation.

So I've changed my password, and my picture, and hopefully this is behind me.
