Newton Woman Says She Sold Heroin to "Help Out" Boyfriend

Yesterday in a virtual court hearing, a Newton woman admitted to selling heroin out of a Merriam Gateway apartment. According to the New Jersey Herald, Meagan Becker said she sold the drugs to "help out" her boyfriend, Karon Abraham, and his brother, Kwamain Abraham.

Becker, 30, was reportedly arrested after selling less than an ounce of heroin to a police informant in July. All the heroin confiscated at the time of Becker, Karon and Kwamain's arrest was reportedly tested and contained various strengths of fentanyl.

Becker has allegedly accepted a plea deal that will send her to jail for 180 days and requires her to undergo drug treatment. Her sentencing is set for December 10th
